17:1
亞撒的兒子約沙法接續他作王，奮勇自強，防備以色列人，
And Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his place, and he strengthened himself against Israel.
17:2
安置軍兵在猶大一切堅固城裏，又安置防兵在猶大地和他父親亞撒所攻取以法蓮的城邑中。
And he put forces in all the fortified cities of Judah and put garrisons in the land of Judah and in the cities of Ephraim that Asa his father had taken.
17:3
耶和華與約沙法同在，因為他行他祖大衛起初所行的道路，不尋求諸巴力，
And Jehovah was with Jehoshaphat because he walked in the former ways of David his father; and he did not pursue the Baals
17:4
只尋求他父親的神，遵行祂的誡命，不照以色列人所行的而行。
But pursued the God of his father and walked in His commandments and did not do as Israel had done.
17:5
所以耶和華使國在他手中得堅定；猶大眾人給約沙法進貢，他大有財富和尊榮。
Therefore Jehovah established the kingdom in his hand. And all Judah gave tribute to Jehoshaphat, and he had riches and honor in abundance.
17:6
他心志高昂，遵行耶和華的道路，並且從猶大除掉一切邱壇和木像。
And his heart was exalted in the ways of Jehovah; and even more, he removed the high places and the Asherahs from Judah.
17:7
他作王第三年，就差遣大臣便亥伊勒、俄巴底、撒迦利雅、拿坦業、米該亞，往猶大各城去教訓百姓；
And in the third year of his reign he sent his officials Ben-hail and Obadiah and Zechariah and Nethanel and Micaiah to teach in the cities of Judah;
17:8
同著他們的有利未人示瑪雅、尼探雅、西巴第雅、亞撒黑、示米拉末、約拿單、亞多尼雅、多比雅、駝巴多尼雅；又有祭司以利沙瑪、約蘭同著他們。
And with them he sent the Levites Shemaiah and Nethaniah and Zebadiah and Asahel and Shemiramoth and Jehonathan and Adonijah and Tobijah and Tob- adonijah, the Levites; and with them, Elishama and Jehoram, the priests.
17:9
他們帶著耶和華的律法書，在猶大施教，周遊猶大各城教訓百姓。
And they taught in Judah, having the book of the law of Jehovah; and they went around all the cities of Judah and taught among the people.
17:10
猶大四圍各地的列國都畏懼耶和華，不敢與約沙法爭戰。
And the fear of Jehovah was upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were around Judah, and they waged no war against Jehoshaphat.
17:11
有些非利士人給約沙法送禮物，納貢銀；亞拉伯人也送他羊群，有公綿羊七千七百隻，公山羊七千七百隻。
And some of the Philistines would bring presents to Jehoshaphat and silver as tribute; even the Arabians would bring him flocks, seven thousand seven hundred rams and seven thousand seven hundred male goats.
17:12
約沙法日漸強大，極其強盛，在猶大建造營寨和積貨城。
And Jehoshaphat grew exceedingly great, and he built fortresses and store cities in Judah.
17:13
他在猶大城邑中有許多工程，又在耶路撒冷有戰士，就是大能的勇士。
And he conducted many works in the cities of Judah and had men of war, mighty men of valor, in Jerusalem.
17:14
他們點閱的結果，按著宗族，記在下面：屬猶大的千夫長中，有千夫長押拿，率領大能的勇士三十萬；
And this was the muster of them according to their fathers' house: of Judah, the captains of thousands: Adnah the captain, and with him three hundred thousand mighty men of valor;
17:15
其次是千夫長約哈難，率領大能的勇士二十八萬；
And next to him was Jehohanan the captain, and with him two hundred eighty thousand;
17:16
其次是細基利的兒子亞瑪斯雅，他為耶和華甘心奉獻自己，率領大能的勇士二十萬。
And next to him was Amasiah the son of Zichri, who offered willingly himself to Jehovah, and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valor.
17:17
屬便雅憫的，有大能的勇士以利雅大，率領拿弓箭和盾牌的二十萬；
And of Benjamin: Eliada, a mighty man of valor, and with him two hundred thousand men armed with bow and shield;
17:18
其次是約薩拔，率領裝備好能打仗的十八萬。
And next to him was Jehozabad, and with him one hundred eighty thousand armed for war.
17:19
這些都是伺候王的，還有王在全猶大堅固城中所安置的不在其內。
These were those who served the king, besides those whom the king had put in the fortified cities throughout all Judah.
18:1
約沙法大有財富和尊榮，就與亞哈結親。
And Jehoshaphat had great riches and honor, and he allied himself in marriage with Ahab.
18:2
過了幾年，他下到撒瑪利亞去見亞哈。亞哈為他和跟從他的人宰了許多牛羊，慫恿他上去攻打基列的拉末。
And after a number of years he came down to Ahab in Samaria. And Ahab slaughtered sheep and oxen in abundance for him and for the people who were with him, and persuaded him to go up against Ramoth-gilead.
18:3
以色列王亞哈問猶大王約沙法說，你肯同我去進攻基列的拉末麼？他回答說，你我不分彼此，我的民如同你的民，我們必與你一同作戰。
And Ahab the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, Will you go with me to Ramoth-gilead? And Jehoshaphat said to him, I will be as you are; my people will be as your people; we will be with you in battle.
18:4
約沙法對以色列王說，請你先求問耶和華怎麼說。
And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, Ask today, I beg you, for the word of Jehovah.
18:5
於是以色列王招聚申言者四百人，問他們說，我們可以去進攻基列的拉末麼？還是應當忍著不去？他們說，可以上去，因為神必將那城交在王的手裏。
And the king of Israel assembled the prophets, four hundred men, and said to them, Shall we go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I refrain? And they said, Go up, and God will give it into the king's hand.
18:6
約沙法說，這裏不是還有耶和華的申言者，我們可以求問他麼？
But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not yet another prophet of Jehovah here, that we might inquire of him?
18:7
以色列王對約沙法說，還有一個人，是音拉的兒子米該雅，我們可以藉他求問耶和華；只是我恨他，因為他指著我所說的豫言，不說吉語，總是說凶言。約沙法說，王不必這樣說。
And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Jehovah; but I hate him, for he prophesies no good concerning me, but always evil. He is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
18:8
以色列王就召了一個官員來，說，你快將音拉的兒子米該雅帶來。
Then the king of Israel called a certain officer and said, Quickly bring Micaiah the son of Imla.
18:9
以色列王和猶大王約沙法在撒瑪利亞城門口的空場上，各穿王服，坐在位上，所有的申言者都在他們面前說豫言。
Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah were sitting each on his throne, arrayed in their robes, sitting on the threshing floor at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets were prophesying before them.
18:10
基拿拿的兒子西底家給自己造了兩個鐵角，說，耶和華如此說，你要用這角抵觸亞蘭人，直到將他們滅盡。
And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made for himself horns of iron, and he said, Thus says Jehovah, With these you will push the Syrians until you have destroyed them.
18:11
所有的申言者也都這樣豫言，說，可以上基列的拉末去，必然順利，因為耶和華必將那城交在王的手中。
And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and succeed; for Jehovah will deliver it into the king's hand.
18:12
那去召米該雅的使者對米該雅說，看哪，眾申言者一口同音的都向王說吉言，你不如像他們那樣說話，也說吉言。
And the messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, See, the words of the prophets, being of one accord, seem good to the king. So let your word, I beg you, be like one of them, and speak good.
18:13
米該雅說，我指著永活的耶和華起誓，我的神說甚麼，我就說甚麼。
And Micaiah said, As Jehovah lives, that which my God says, that will I speak.
18:14
米該雅到王面前，王問他說，米該雅阿，我們可以去進攻基列的拉末麼？還是應當忍著不去？他說，可以上去，必然順利，因為他們必被交在你們手裏。
And when he came to the king, the king said to him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I refrain? And he said, Go up, and succeed; for they will be delivered into your hand.
18:15
王對他說，我當嚴嚴的囑咐你多少次，你才在耶和華的名裏向我不說別的，只說實話呢？
And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure you to tell me nothing but the truth in the name of Jehovah?
18:16
米該雅說，我看見以色列眾民散在山上，如同沒有牧人的羊群一般。耶和華說，這些人沒有主人，他們可以平平安安的各歸各家去。
And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the mountains, like sheep that have no shepherd. And Jehovah said, These have no master; let each of them return to his house in peace.
18:17
以色列王對約沙法說，我豈沒有告訴你，這人指著我所說的豫言，不說吉語，單說凶言麼？
And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell you that he prophesies no good concerning me, but evil?
18:18
米該雅說，因此，你們要聽耶和華的話；我看見耶和華坐在寶座上，天上的萬軍侍立在祂左右。
And Micaiah said, Hear therefore the word of Jehovah, I saw Jehovah sitting on His throne and all the host of heaven standing on His right hand and His left.
18:19
耶和華說，誰去引誘以色列王亞哈，使他上基列的拉末去，倒斃在那裏呢？這個就這樣說，那個就那樣說。
And Jehovah said, Who shall entice Ahab the king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one said after this manner, and another said after that manner.
18:20
隨後有一個靈出來，站在耶和華面前，說，我去引誘他。耶和華問他說，你用何法呢？
And there came forth a certain spirit and stood before Jehovah and said, I will entice him. And Jehovah said unto him, How?
18:21
他說，我要前去，在他一切申言者口中作謊言的靈。耶和華說，你去引誘他，必能成功；你前去如此行罷。
And he said, I will go forth and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And He said, You shall entice him and surely prevail. Go forth, and do so.
18:22
現在耶和華已將謊言的靈放在你這些申言者的口中，並且耶和華已經指著你說了凶言。
So now Jehovah has put a lying spirit in the mouth of these your prophets, and Jehovah has spoken evil concerning you.
18:23
基拿拿的兒子西底家前來，打米該雅的臉，說，耶和華的靈從那條路離開我去與你說話呢？
Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah approached and struck Micaiah upon the cheek and said, Which way did the Spirit of Jehovah pass from me to speak to you?
18:24
米該雅說，你逐室躲藏的那日，就必看見了。
And Micaiah said, You will see on that day when you go from room to room to hide yourself.
18:25
以色列王說，將米該雅帶回去，交給邑宰亞們和王的兒子約阿施。
And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city and to Joash the king's son.
18:26
你要說，王如此說，把這個人下在監裏，使他受苦，喫不飽、喝不足，直到我平平安安的回來。
And you shall say, Thus says the king, Put this man in prison, and feed him with the bread of affliction and with the water of affliction until I return in peace.
18:27
米該雅說，你若能平平安安的回來，那就是耶和華沒有藉我說話了；又說，眾民哪，你們都要聽！
And Micaiah said, If you return in peace at all, Jehovah has not spoken by me. And he said, Listen, O peoples, all of you!
18:28
以色列王和猶大王約沙法上基列的拉末去了。
And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth-gilead.
18:29
以色列王對約沙法說，我要改裝上陣，你可以仍穿王服。於是以色列王改裝，他們就上陣去了。
And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself and enter into the battle; but you put on your robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and they went into the battle.
18:30
先是亞蘭王吩咐車兵長說，他們的兵將，無論大小，你們都不可與他們爭戰，只要與以色列王爭戰。
And the king of Syria commanded the captains of his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, but with the king of Israel only.
18:31
車兵長看見約沙法，便說，這必是以色列王；他們就圍繞他，與他爭戰。約沙法呼喊，耶和華就幫助他；神驅使他們離開他。
And when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, This is the king of Israel. And they surrounded him to fight, and Jehoshaphat cried out. And Jehovah helped him, and God diverted them from him.
18:32
車兵長見不是以色列王，就轉回不追他了。
And when the captains of the chariots perceived that he was not the king of Israel, they turned back from pursuing him.
18:33
有一人隨便開弓，恰巧射入以色列王的甲縫裏。王對趕車的說，我受了傷，你把車轉回去，拉我離開戰陣罷。
And a man drew a bow at random and hit the king of Israel between the scale armor and the breastplate. And the king of Israel said to his charioteer, Turn your hand, and drive me out of the camp; for I am wounded.
18:34
那日戰事越發猛烈，有人扶以色列王站在車上，對著亞蘭人，直到晚上；約在日落的時候，王就死了。
And the battle increased that day; and the king of Israel was propped up in his chariot before the Syrians until the evening, and he died at the time of the setting of the sun.
19:1
猶大王約沙法平平安安的回耶路撒冷，到自己宮裏。
Then Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in Jerusalem in peace.
19:2
先見哈拿尼的兒子耶戶出來迎接約沙法王，對他說，你豈當幫助惡人，愛那恨惡耶和華的人呢？因此耶和華的忿怒臨到了你。
And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him; and he said to King Jehoshaphat, Should you help the wicked and love those who hate Jehovah? Because of this matter wrath has come upon you from Jehovah.
19:3
然而你還有善行，因你從這地除掉了木像，立定心意尋求神。
Nevertheless there are some good things found in you, for you have purged the Asherahs out of the land and have set your heart to pursue God.
19:4
約沙法住在耶路撒冷，以後又出巡民間，從別是巴直到以法蓮山地，引導人民歸向耶和華他們列祖的神。
And Jehoshaphat dwelt in Jerusalem. And he went out again among the people, from Beer-sheba to the hill country of Ephraim, and brought them back to Jehovah, the God of their fathers.
19:5
他又在猶大遍地的堅固城裏，一城一城的設立審判官，
And he set up judges in the land throughout all the fortified cities of Judah, city by city.
19:6
對他們說，你們辦事應當謹慎，因為你們判斷不是為人，乃是為耶和華；宣判的時候，祂必與你們同在。
And he said to the judges, Consider what you are doing, for you judge not for man but for Jehovah, and He is with you in pronouncing judgment.
19:7
現在你們應當敬畏耶和華；你們要謹慎辦事，因為耶和華我們的神沒有不公，不偏待人，也不受賄賂。
Now therefore let the fear of Jehovah be upon you; be careful how you act, for there is no iniquity with Jehovah our God, nor respect of persons, nor the taking of bribes.
19:8
約沙法也從利未人、祭司、並以色列宗族的首領中設立一些人，在耶路撒冷為耶和華判斷，處理爭訟的事。他們就回耶路撒冷去了。
And also in Jerusalem Jehoshaphat set up some of the Levites and priests and heads of the fathers' houses in Israel for the judgment of Jehovah and for disputes. And they came back to Jerusalem.
19:9
約沙法囑咐他們說，你們當這樣敬畏耶和華，以純全的心忠信的辦事：
And he commanded them, saying, Thus shall you do in the fear of Jehovah, faithfully and with a perfect heart.
19:10
你們住在各城裏的弟兄，若有爭訟的事來到你們這裏，或為流血，或為犯律法、誡命、律例和典章，你們要警戒他們，免得他們在耶和華面前有了罪過，以致祂的忿怒臨到你們和你們的弟兄；你們要這樣行，就沒有罪過了。
And for every dispute that comes to you from among your brothers who dwell in their cities, whether concerning bloodshed or concerning law or commandment, statute or ordinance, you shall warn them, so that they are not guilty before Jehovah and so that wrath does not come upon you and your brothers. Thus shall you act, and you will not be guilty.
19:11
看哪，凡屬耶和華的事，有祭司長亞瑪利雅管理你們；凡屬王的事，有猶大家的首領以實瑪利的兒子西巴第雅管理你們；在你們面前有利未人作官長。你們應當壯膽行事，願耶和華與善人同在。
And now Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters concerning Jehovah; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, is over you in all matters concerning the king. And the Levites will serve before you as officers. Be strong and take action, and may Jehovah be with the good.
20:1
此後，摩押人和亞捫人，還有一些米烏尼人隨同他們，來攻擊約沙法。
Then after this the children of Moab and the children of Ammon and with them some of the Meunim came against Jehoshaphat for battle.
20:2
有人來報告約沙法說，從海那邊，就是從亞蘭，有大批軍眾來攻擊你，如今他們在哈洗遜他瑪，就是隱基底。
And some came and told Jehoshaphat, saying, A great multitude has come upon you from beyond the sea, from Syria; and they are now in Hazazon-tamar (this is En-gedi).
20:3
約沙法便懼怕，定意尋求耶和華，在全猶大宣告禁食。
And Jehoshaphat was afraid and set his face to pursue Jehovah, and he proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.
20:4
於是猶大人聚集，求耶和華幫助；猶大各城都有人出來尋求耶和華。
And Judah gathered themselves to seek help from Jehovah; indeed out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek Jehovah.
20:5
約沙法就在猶大和耶路撒冷的會中，站在耶和華殿的新院前，
And Jehoshaphat stood up in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of Jehovah, before the new court;
20:6
說，耶和華我們列祖的神阿，你不是天上的神麼？你不是萬邦萬國的主宰麼？在你手中有大能大力，無人能抵擋你。
And he said, O Jehovah, the God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven? And are You not ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? And in Your hand is strength and might, and there is no one who can stand against You.
20:7
我們的神阿，你不是曾把這地的居民從你民以色列人面前趕出去，將這地賜給你朋友亞伯拉罕的後裔永遠為業麼？
Did You not, O our God, dispossess the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel and give it forever to the seed of Abraham Your friend?
20:8
他們住在這地，又在這地為你的名建造聖所，說，
And they have dwelt in it and built in it for You a sanctuary for Your name, saying,
20:9
倘有禍患臨到我們，無論是刀劍災殃，或是瘟疫饑荒，我們在急難的時候，站在這殿前，在你面前向你呼求，因為你的名在這殿裏，你必垂聽而拯救。
If evil comes upon us, the sword or judgment or pestilence or famine, we will stand before this house and before You-for Your name is in this house-and cry unto You in our affliction, You will hear and save.
20:10
現在這裏有亞捫人、摩押人、和西珥山人；從前以色列人從埃及地到這裏來的時候，你不讓以色列人侵犯他們，以色列人就從他們轉開，不滅絕他們；
And now at this moment the children of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir, whom You would not let Israel invade when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned away from them and did not destroy them -
20:11
看哪，他們怎樣報復我們，要來驅逐我們離開你的地，就是你賜給我們為業的。
At this moment they are rewarding us by coming to cast us out of Your possession, which You gave us as a possession.
20:12
我們的神阿，你不懲罰他們麼？因為我們無力抵擋這來攻擊我們的大批軍眾，我們也不知道該怎樣行，我們的眼目單仰望你。
O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no strength before this great multitude that is coming against us, and we do not know what to do; but our eyes are upon You.
20:13
猶大眾人和他們的孩子、妻子、兒女，都站在耶和華面前。
And all Judah stood before Jehovah with their little ones, their wives, and their children.
20:14
那時，耶和華的靈在會中臨到利未人亞薩的子孫，瑪探雅的玄孫，耶利的曾孫，比拿雅的孫子，撒迦利雅的兒子雅哈悉；
Then the Spirit of Jehovah came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, the Levite of the sons of Asaph, in the midst of the assembly;
20:15
他說，猶大眾人、耶路撒冷的居民、和約沙法王，你們要聽。耶和華對你們如此說，不要因這大批軍眾懼怕驚惶；因為爭戰的勝敗不在於你們，乃在於神。
And he said, Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat. Thus says Jehovah to you, Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God's.
20:16
明日你們要下去抵擋他們；他們是從洗斯坡上來，你們必在耶魯伊勒曠野前，河谷的盡頭遇見他們。
Tomorrow go down against them. They are coming up at the ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the river valley before the wilderness of Jeruel.
20:17
猶大和耶路撒冷人哪，這次你們不要爭戰，只管站住，堅定站立，看那與你們同在的耶和華施行拯救。不要懼怕，也不要驚惶。明日當出去迎戰，因為耶和華與你們同在。
It is not for you to fight in this battle. Station yourselves; stand and see the salvation of Jehovah among you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid nor dismayed. Tomorrow go out to meet them, for Jehovah is with you.
20:18
約沙法就低頭面伏於地，猶大眾人和耶路撒冷的居民也俯伏在耶和華面前，敬拜耶和華。
And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before Jehovah to worship Jehovah.
20:19
屬哥轄子孫和可拉子孫的利未人都起來，用極大的聲音讚美耶和華以色列的神。
And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites, rose up to praise Jehovah the God of Israel with an exceedingly loud voice.
20:20
次日清早，眾人起來出到提哥亞的曠野去。出去的時候，約沙法站著說，猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪，你們聽我說；相信耶和華你們的神，就必穩固；相信祂的申言者，就必亨通。
And they rose up early in the morning and went out to the wilderness of Tekoa. And as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood up and said, Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem. Believe in Jehovah your God, and you will be established; believe in His prophets, and you will succeed.
20:21
約沙法既與民商議了，就設立一些人，穿著聖別的禮服走在軍前，向耶和華歌唱，稱謝說，當稱謝耶和華，因祂的慈愛永遠長存。
And when he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed them to sing to Jehovah and give thanks in holy array as they went out before the army and say, Give thanks to Jehovah, for His lovingkindness endures forever.
20:22
眾人一開始歡呼歌唱讚美，耶和華就派伏兵擊殺那來攻擊猶大人的亞捫人、摩押人、和西珥山人，他們就被打敗了。
And when they began to shout in song and to praise, Jehovah set ambushes for the children of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who were coming out against Judah; and they were struck.
20:23
亞捫人和摩押人起來，擊殺住西珥山的人，將他們殺盡滅絕；滅盡住西珥山的人之後，他們又彼此自相擊殺。
And the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to absolutely destroy and demolish them; and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every man helped to destroy his neighbor.
20:24
猶大人來到曠野的望樓，向那軍眾觀看，見屍橫遍地，沒有一個逃脫的。
And Judah came to the wilderness watchtower and looked upon the multitude; and there they were, fallen corpses on the ground, and no one escaped.
20:25
約沙法和他的百姓就來收取他們的掠物，在屍首中見了許多財物、珍寶，他們剝脫下來作為己有的，多得無法攜帶；因為甚多，直收取了三日。
And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take the spoil of them as plunder, they found among them in abundance both possessions and corpses and precious vessels, and stripped these for themselves, more than they could carry. And they spent three days taking spoil, for there was much.
20:26
第四日眾人聚集在比拉迦谷，在那裏頌讚耶和華，因此那地方名叫比拉迦谷，直到今日。
And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Beracah (for there they blessed Jehovah; therefore they have called the name of that place the valley of Beracah to this day).
20:27
猶大人和耶路撒冷人都歡歡喜喜的回耶路撒冷，約沙法率領他們；耶和華使他們因戰勝仇敵而歡喜快樂。
And they turned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, with Jehoshaphat at their head, to go back to Jerusalem with rejoicing; for Jehovah had caused them to rejoice over their enemies.
20:28

And they came to Jerusalem with harps and lyres and trumpets, to the house of Jehovah.
20:29
各地諸國聽見耶和華戰敗以色列的仇敵，就都畏懼神。
And the fear of Jehovah was upon all the kingdoms of the lands when they heard that Jehovah had fought with the enemies of Israel.
20:30
這樣，約沙法的國得享太平，因為他的神使他四圍平靜。
So the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was quiet, for his God had given him rest all around.
20:31
約沙法作猶大王，登基的時候年三十五歲，在耶路撒冷作王二十五年；他母親名叫阿蘇巴，乃示利希的女兒。
And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah; he was thirty-five years old when he began to reign. And he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah, the daughter of Shilhi.
20:32
約沙法行他父親亞撒所行的道路，不偏離左右，行耶和華眼中看為正的事；
And he walked in the way of his father Asa and did not turn away from it, doing what was right in the sight of Jehovah.
20:33
只是邱壇還沒有廢去，百姓也沒有立定心意歸向他們列祖的神。
However the high places were not removed, nor as yet did the people set their heart after the God of their fathers.
20:34
約沙法其餘的事，自始至終都寫在哈拿尼的兒子耶戶的年代志上，載入以色列諸王記中。
And the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, the first and the last, are there written in the chronicle of Jehu the son of Hanani, which is inserted in the book of the kings of Israel.
20:35
此後，猶大王約沙法與以色列王亞哈謝結盟；亞哈謝行惡太甚。
Then after this, Jehoshaphat the king of Judah joined himself to Ahaziah the king of Israel; he acted wickedly in so doing.
20:36
約沙法與他合夥造船要往他施去，他們在以旬迦別造船。
And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish, and they made the ships in Ezion-geber.
20:37
那時瑪利沙人多大瓦的兒子以利以謝向約沙法豫言，說，因你與亞哈謝結盟，耶和華必破壞你所造的。後來那些船果然破壞，不能往他施去了。
Then Eliezer the son of Dodavahu from Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because you have joined yourself with Ahaziah, Jehovah has destroyed your works. And the ships were shattered and were unable to go to Tarshish.

有主的一位使者對腓利說，起來，向南走，往那從耶路撒冷下迦薩的路上去，那路是曠野。
But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, Rise up and go south on the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza. This is the desert route.
8:27
腓利就起身去了。看哪，有一個埃提阿伯人，是個有大權的太監，在埃提阿伯女王干大基手下總管銀庫，他上耶路撒冷去敬拜，
And he rose up and went. And behold, an Ethiopian man, a eunuch, a man in power under Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was over all her treasure, had come to Jerusalem to worship.
8:28
現在回來，在車上坐著，念申言者以賽亞的書。
And he was returning and was sitting in his chariot and reading the prophet Isaiah.
8:29
那靈對腓利說，你上前去，貼近那車走。
And the Spirit said to Philip, Approach and join this chariot.
8:30
腓利就跑上前去，聽見他念申言者以賽亞的書，便說，你所念的，你明白麼？
And when Philip ran up, he heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and said, Do you really know the things that you are reading?
8:31
他說，沒有人指引我，怎能明白？於是懇求腓利上車，與他同坐。
And he said, How could I unless someone guides me? And he entreated Philip to come up and sit with him.
8:32
他所念的那段經乃是：“祂像羊被牽去宰殺，又像羊羔在剪毛的人面前無聲，祂也是這樣不開口。
Now the passage of Scripture which he was reading was this: "As a sheep He was led to slaughter; and as a lamb before its shearer is dumb, so He does not open His mouth.
8:33
祂卑微的時候，人不按公義審判祂；誰能述說祂的世代？因為祂的生命從地上被奪去。”
In His humiliation His judgment was taken away. Who shall declare His generation? For His life is taken away from the earth.''
8:34
太監對腓利說，請問，申言者說這話是指著誰？是指著自己，還是指著別人？
And the eunuch answered Philip and said, I beseech you, Concerning whom does the prophet say this? Concerning himself or concerning someone else?
8:35
腓利就開口，從這經上起，向他傳耶穌為福音。
And Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture he announced Jesus as the gospel to him.
8:36
二人正沿路走的時候，到了有水的地方，太監說，看哪，這裏有水，我受浸有甚麼妨礙？
And as they were going along the road, they came upon some water, and the eunuch said, Look, water. What prevents me from being baptized?
8:37
腓利對他說，你若是全心相信就可以。他回答說，我信耶穌基督是神的兒子。
And Philip said, If you believe from all your heart, you will be saved. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
8:38
於是吩咐車停住，腓利和太監二人同下水裏去，腓利就給他施浸。
And he ordered the chariot to stand still, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him.
8:39
他們從水裏上來的時候，主的靈把腓利提了去，太監也不再看見他，就歡歡喜喜走他的路。
And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away; and the eunuch did not see him anymore, for he went on his way rejoicing.
8:40
後來有人在亞鎖都遇見腓利，他走遍所有的城邑，傳揚福音，直到該撒利亞。
But Philip was found in Azotus; and passing through, he announced the gospel to all the cities until he came to Caesarea.
