創世記 Genesis 3:1-5:32
3:1
耶和華神所造的，惟有蛇比田野一切的活物更狡猾。蛇對女人說，神豈是真說，你們不可喫園中所有樹上的果子麼？
Now the serpent was more crafty than every other animal of the field which Jehovah God had made. And he said to the woman, Did God really say, You shall not eat of any tree of the garden?
3:2
女人對蛇說，園中樹上的果子，我們可以喫，
And the woman said to the serpent, Of the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat;
3:3
惟有園當中那棵樹上的果子，神曾說，你們不可喫，也不可摸，免得你們死。
But of the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat of it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.
3:4
蛇對女人說，你們不一定死；
And the serpent said to the woman, You shall not surely die!
3:5
因為神知道，你們喫的日子眼睛就開了，你們便如神知道善惡。
For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will become like God, knowing good and evil.
3:6
於是女人見那棵樹的果子好作食物，也悅人的眼目，且是可喜愛的，能使人有智慧，就摘下果子來喫了，又給與她一起的丈夫，她丈夫也喫了。
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make oneself wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave some to her husband with her, and he ate.
3:7
他們二人的眼睛就開了，才知道自己是赤身露體的；他們便拿無花果樹的葉子，為自己編作裙子。
And the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made loincloths for themselves.
3:8
天涼的時候，耶和華神在園中行走，那人和他妻子聽見神的聲音，就藏在園裏的樹木中，躲避耶和華神的面。
And they heard the sound of Jehovah God walking about in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Jehovah God among the trees of the garden.
3:9
耶和華神呼喚那人，對他說，你在那裏？
And Jehovah God called to the man and said to him, Where are you?
3:10
他說，我在園中聽見你的聲音，我就害怕，因為我是赤身露體的；所以我藏了起來。
And he said, I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I am naked; so I hid myself.
3:11
耶和華神說，誰告訴你，你是赤身露體的呢？莫非你喫了我吩咐你不可喫的那樹上的果子麼？
And He said, Who told you that you are naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?
3:12
那人說，你所賜給我，與我一起的女人，她把那樹上的果子給我，我就喫了。
And the man said, The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate.
3:13
耶和華神對女人說，你作的是甚麼事？女人說，那蛇誘騙我，我就喫了。
And Jehovah God said to the woman, What is this that you have done? And the woman said, The serpent deceived me, and I ate.
3:14
耶和華神對蛇說，你既作了這事，就必受咒詛，比一切的牲畜和田野的活物更甚。你必用肚子行走，終身喫土。
And Jehovah God said to the serpent, Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all the cattle And more than all the animals of the field: Upon your stomach you will go, And dust you will eat All the days of your life.
3:15
我又要叫你和女人彼此為仇，你的後裔和女人的後裔也彼此為仇；女人的後裔要傷你的頭，你要傷他的腳跟。
And I will put enmity Between you and the woman And between your seed and her seed; He will bruise you on the head, But you will bruise him on the heel.
3:16
又對女人說，我必多多加增你懷胎的苦楚，你生產兒女必受苦楚；你必戀慕你丈夫，你丈夫必管轄你。
To the woman He said, I will greatly multiply Your pain in your childbearing; In pain you will bring forth children. And your desire will be to your husband, And he will rule over you.
3:17
又對亞當說，你既聽妻子的話，喫了我所吩咐你不可喫的那樹上的果子，地必因你的緣故受咒詛；你必終身勞苦，才能從地裏得喫的。
And to Adam He said, Because you listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree concerning which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil will you eat of it All the days of your life.
3:18
地必給你長出荊棘和蒺藜來，你也要喫田間的菜蔬。
And thorns and thistles it will bring forth for you, And you will eat the herb of the field;
3:19
你必汗流滿面才得糊口，直到你歸了土，因為你是從土取出的；你本是塵土，仍要歸於塵土。
By the sweat of your face You will eat bread Until you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.
3:20
亞當給他妻子起名叫夏娃，因為她是眾生之母。
And the man called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.
3:21
耶和華神為亞當和他妻子用皮子作衣服給他們穿。
And Jehovah God made for Adam and for his wife coats of skins and clothed them.
3:22
耶和華神說，那人已經與我們相似，知道善惡；現在恐怕他伸手又摘生命樹的果子喫，就永遠活著。
And Jehovah God said, Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, lest he put forth his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat and live forever -
3:23
耶和華神便打發他出伊甸園去，耕種他所出自之土。
Therefore Jehovah God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to work the ground from which he was taken.
3:24
於是把那人趕出去了；又在伊甸園的東邊，安設基路伯和四面轉動發火焰的劍，把守生命樹的道路。
So He drove the man out, and at the east of the garden of Eden He placed the cherubim and a flaming sword which turned in every direction to guard the way to the tree of life.
4:1
那人和他妻子夏娃同房，夏娃就懷孕，生了該隱；便說，我得了一個男子，耶和華。
And the man knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain and said, I have acquired a man, Jehovah.
4:2
又生了該隱的弟弟亞伯。亞伯是牧羊的，該隱是耕地的。
And again she gave birth to his brother Abel. And Abel was a tender of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
4:3
有一日，該隱拿地裏的出產為供物獻給耶和華；
And in the course of time Cain brought an offering to Jehovah from the fruit of the ground.
4:4
亞伯也將他羊群中頭生的，特別是羊的脂油獻上。耶和華看中了亞伯和他的供物，
And Abel also brought an offering from the firstlings of his flock, that is, from their fat portions. And Jehovah had regard for Abel and for his offering.
4:5
只是看不中該隱和他的供物。該隱就大大發怒，垂下臉來。
But for Cain and for his offering He had no regard. And Cain became very angry, and his countenance fell.
4:6
耶和華對該隱說，你為甚麼發怒？你為甚麼垂下臉來？
And Jehovah said to Cain, Why are you angry, and why has your countenance fallen?
4:7
你若行得好，豈不揚起臉來麼？你若行得不好，罪就伏在門前；他要戀慕你，但你必須管轄他。
If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and his desire is for you, but you must rule over him.
4:8
該隱對他弟弟亞伯說，我們往田間去罷。二人正在田間，該隱起來打他弟弟亞伯，把他殺了。
And Cain said to Abel his brother, Let us go into the field. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against Abel his brother and slew him.
4:9
耶和華對該隱說，你弟弟亞伯在那裏？他說，我不知道。我豈是看守我弟弟的麼？
Then Jehovah said to Cain, Where is Abel your brother? And he said, I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?
4:10
耶和華說，你作了甚麼事？你弟弟的血有聲音從地裏向我哀告。
And He said, What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood is crying out to Me from the ground.
4:11
地開了口，從你手裏接受你弟弟的血；現在你必從這地受咒詛。
And now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand.
4:12
你耕地，地不再給你效力；你必流離飄蕩在地上。
When you till the ground, it will no longer yield its strength to you. You will be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth.
4:13
該隱對耶和華說，我的刑罰太重，過於我所能承擔的。
And Cain said to Jehovah, My punishment is greater than I can bear.
4:14
你今日趕逐我離開這地的面，以致我不得見你的面；我必流離飄蕩在地上，凡遇見我的必殺我。
Now You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground, and from Your face I will be hidden; and I will be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.
4:15
耶和華對他說，既是這樣，凡殺該隱的，必遭報七倍。耶和華就在該隱身上作一個記號，免得人遇見就擊殺他。
And Jehovah said to him, Therefore whoever kills Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold. And Jehovah put a mark on Cain, so that anyone who found him would not strike him.
4:16
於是該隱離開耶和華的面，去住在伊甸東邊挪得之地。
And Cain went forth from the presence of Jehovah and dwelt in the land of Nod, east of Eden.
4:17
該隱與妻子同房，他妻子就懷孕，生了以諾。該隱建造了一座城，並按著他兒子的名，將那城叫作以諾。
And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and gave birth to Enoch; and he built a city and called the name of the city after the name of his son Enoch.
4:18
以諾生以拿，以拿生米戶雅利，米戶雅利生瑪土撒利，瑪土撒利生拉麥。
And Irad was born to Enoch, and Irad begot Mehujael, and Mehujael begot Methushael, and Methushael begot Lamech.
4:19
拉麥娶了兩個妻子，一個名叫亞大，另一個名叫洗拉。
And Lamech took two wives for himself: The name of the first was Adah, and the name of the second Zillah.
4:20
亞大生雅八；雅八是居住帳棚、牧養牲畜之人的始祖。
And Adah gave birth to Jabal; he was the father of those who dwell in tents and raise cattle.
4:21
雅八的兄弟名叫猶八；他是一切彈琴吹簫之人的始祖。
And his brother's name was Jubal; he was the father of all those who play the lyre and pipe.
4:22
洗拉也生了土八該隱；他是打造各樣銅鐵利器的。土八該隱的妹妹是拿瑪。
And Zillah also gave birth to Tubal-cain, the forger of every cutting instrument of bronze and iron; and the sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah.
4:23
拉麥對他的兩個妻子說，亞大和洗拉，聽我的聲音；拉麥的妻子，聽我的言語：壯年人傷我，我把他殺了；少年人打我，我把他害了。
And Lamech said to his wives, Adah and Zillah, listen to my voice; O wives of Lamech, hearken to my speech; For I have slain a man for wounding me, Even a young man for striking me.
4:24
若殺該隱遭報七倍，殺拉麥必遭報七十七倍。
If Cain is avenged sevenfold, Then Lamech seventy-sevenfold.
4:25
亞當又與妻子同房；她就生了一個兒子，給他起名叫塞特，說，神給我另立了一個後裔代替亞伯，因為該隱殺了他。
And Adam knew his wife again; and she gave birth to a son and called his name Seth; for, she said, God has appointed me another seed instead of Abel, because Cain slew him.
4:26
塞特也生了一個兒子，起名叫以挪士。在那時候，人開始呼求耶和華的名。
And to Seth also a son was born, and he called his name Enosh. At that time men began to call upon the name of Jehovah.
5:1
亞當的後代記在下面。當神創造亞當的日子，乃是按著祂的樣式造的。
This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created Adam, He made him in the likeness of God.
5:2
神創造他們有男有女；在他們被創造的日子，神賜福給他們，稱他們的名為亞當。
Male and female He created them, and He blessed them and called their name Adam, on the day when they were created.
5:3
亞當活到一百三十歲，生了一個兒子，樣式和形像與自己相似，就給他起名叫塞特。
And Adam lived one hundred thirty years and begot a son in his likeness according to his image, and he called his name Seth.
5:4
亞當生塞特之後，又在世八百年，並且生兒生女。
And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
5:5
亞當共活了九百三十歲就死了。
And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred thirty years, and he died.
5:6
塞特活到一百零五歲，生了以挪士。
And Seth lived one hundred five years and begot Enosh.
5:7
塞特生以挪士之後，又活了八百零七年，並且生兒生女。
And Seth lived after he had begotten Enosh eight hundred seven years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
5:8
塞特共活了九百一十二歲就死了。
And all the days of Seth were nine hundred twelve years, and he died.
5:9
以挪士活到九十歲，生了該南。
And Enosh lived ninety years and begot Kenan.
5:10
以挪士生該南之後，又活了八百一十五年，並且生兒生女。
And Enosh lived after he had begotten Kenan eight hundred fifteen years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
5:11
以挪士共活了九百零五歲就死了。
And all the days of Enosh were nine hundred five years, and he died.
5:12
該南活到七十歲，生了瑪勒列。
And Kenan lived seventy years and begot Mahalalel.
5:13
該南生瑪勒列之後，又活了八百四十年，並且生兒生女。
And Kenan lived after he had begotten Mahalalel eight hundred forty years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
5:14
該南共活了九百一十歲就死了。
And all the days of Kenan were nine hundred ten years, and he died.
5:15
瑪勒列活到六十五歲，生了雅列。
And Mahalalel lived sixty-five years and begot Jared.
5:16
瑪勒列生雅列之後，又活了八百三十年，並且生兒生女。
And Mahalalel lived after he had begotten Jared eight hundred thirty years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
5:17
瑪勒列共活了八百九十五歲就死了。
And all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred ninety-five years, and he died.
5:18
雅列活到一百六十二歲，生了以諾。
And Jared lived a hundred sixty-two years and begot Enoch.
5:19
雅列生以諾之後，又活了八百年，並且生兒生女。
And Jared lived after he had begotten Enoch eight hundred years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
5:20
雅列共活了九百六十二歲就死了。
And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty-two years, and he died.
5:21
以諾活到六十五歲，生了瑪土撒拉。
And Enoch lived sixty-five years and begot Methuselah.
5:22
以諾生瑪土撒拉之後，與神同行三百年，並且生兒生女。
And Enoch walked with God after he had begotten Methuselah three hundred years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
5:23
以諾共活了三百六十五歲。
And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty-five years.
5:24
以諾與神同行，神將他取去，他就不在世了。
And Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him.
5:25
瑪土撒拉活到一百八十七歲，生了拉麥。
And Methuselah lived one hundred eighty-seven years and begot Lamech.
5:26
瑪土撒拉生拉麥之後，又活了七百八十二年，並且生兒生女。
And Methuselah lived after he had begotten Lamech seven hundred eighty-two years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
5:27
瑪土撒拉共活了九百六十九歲就死了。
And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty-nine years, and he died.
5:28
拉麥活到一百八十二歲，生了一個兒子，
And Lamech lived a hundred eighty-two years and begot a son.
5:29
給他起名叫挪亞，說，這個兒子必為我們的操作和手中的勞苦安慰我們；這操作與勞苦是因為地受了耶和華的咒詛。
And he called his name Noah, saying, This one will give us rest from our work and from the toil of our hands, which come because of the ground which Jehovah has cursed.
5:30
拉麥生挪亞之後，又活了五百九十五年，並且生兒生女。
And Lamech lived after he had begotten Noah five hundred ninety-five years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
5:31
拉麥共活了七百七十七歲就死了。
And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy-seven years, and he died.
5:32
挪亞五百歲生了閃、含、雅弗。
And Noah was five hundred years old. And Noah begot Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

馬太福音 Matthew 2:1-2:23
2:1
在希律王的日子，耶穌生在猶太的伯利恆。看哪，有星象家從東方來到耶路撒冷，說，
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem,
2:2
那生為猶太人之王的在那裏？因為祂的星出現的時候，我們看見了，就前來拜祂。
Saying, Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star at its rising and have come to worship Him.
2:3
希律王聽見了，就驚慌不安，全耶路撒冷也同他一樣。
And when Herod the king heard this, he was troubled and all Jerusalem with him.
2:4
他就召集了所有的祭司長和民間的經學家，向他們查問，基督當生在何處。
And gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.
2:5
他們對他說，在猶太的伯利恆，因為藉著申言者所記的是這樣：
And they said to him, In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written through the prophet:
2:6
“猶大地的伯利恆啊！你在猶大的首領中，絕不是最小的，因為有一位掌權者要從你出來，牧養我民以色列。”
"And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah, by no means are you the least among the princes of Judah; for out of you shall come forth a Ruler, One who will shepherd My people Israel.''
2:7
當下，希律王暗暗的召了星象家來，向他們確查那星出現的時間，
Then Herod, secretly calling the magi, determined accurately from them the time that the star appeared.
2:8
就差他們往伯利恆去，說，你們去詳確的搜尋那孩子，尋到了，就報告我，我也好去拜祂。
And sending them to Bethlehem, he said, Go and find out accurately about the child. And when you find Him, report to me, so that I also may come and worship Him.
2:9
他們聽了王的話，就去了。看哪，他們曾看見它出現的那星，在他們前頭領路，直領到那孩子那裏，就在上頭停住了。
And after they heard the king, they went their way, and behold, the star which they saw at its rising led them until it came and stood over the place where the child was.
2:10
他們看見那星，就極其歡樂。
And when they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.
2:11
進了屋子，看見那孩子和祂母親馬利亞，就俯伏拜祂，揭開寶盒，向祂獻上黃金、乳香和沒藥為禮物。
And they came into the house and saw the child with Mary His mother. And falling down, they worshipped Him; and opening their treasures, they offered gifts to Him, gold and frankincense and myrrh.
2:12
星象家既在夢中受神指示，不要回去見希律，就從別的路回本地去了。
And because they had been divinely instructed in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed by another way to their country.
2:13
他們離開以後，看哪，有主的使者向約瑟夢中顯現，說，起來，帶著孩子和祂母親逃往埃及，留在那裏，等我吩咐你，因為希律要尋找孩子，好除滅祂。
Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph, saying, Arise, take the child and His mother and flee into Egypt, and stay there until I tell you; for Herod is going to seek the child to destroy Him.
2:14
約瑟就起來，趁夜帶著孩子和祂母親往埃及去，
And he arose and took the child and His mother by night and departed into Egypt,
2:15
留在那裏，直到希律死了。這是要應驗主藉著申言者所說的，說，“我從埃及召出我的兒子來。”
And was there until the death of Herod, in order that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, "Out of Egypt I called My Son.''
2:16
希律見自己為星象家所愚弄，就極其惱怒，差人將伯利恆城裏，並四境所有的男孩，照著他從星象家所確查的時間，凡兩歲以內的盡都除掉了。
Then Herod, seeing that he had been mocked by the magi, became greatly enraged, and sending out men, he did away with all the boys who were in Bethlehem and in all its borders from two years old and under, according to the time that he had accurately determined from the magi.
2:17
這就應驗了那藉著申言者耶利米所說的，說，
At that time what was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, saying,
2:18
“在拉瑪聽見號咷大哭的聲音，是拉結哭她的兒女，不肯受安慰，因為他們都不在了。”
"A voice in Ramah was heard, weeping and great lamentation: Rachel weeping for her children, and she would not be comforted, because they are no more.''
2:19
希律死了以後，看哪，有主的使者在埃及向約瑟夢中顯現，說，
And when Herod had died, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,
2:20
起來，帶著孩子和祂母親往以色列地去，因為尋索孩子性命的人已經死了。
Saying, Arise, take the child and His mother and go into the land of Israel, for those who seek the life of the child have died.
2:21
約瑟就起來，帶著孩子和祂母親進入以色列地。
And he arose and took the child and His mother and entered into the land of Israel.
2:22
只因聽見亞基老接替他父親希律作了猶太王，就怕往那裏去；又在夢中受到神的指示，就往加利利境內去了。
But because he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there; and having been divinely instructed in a dream, he departed into the regions of Galilee.
2:23
到了一座城，名叫拿撒勒，就定居在那裏。這是要應驗那藉著眾申言者所說的，祂必稱為拿撒勒人。
And he came and settled in a city called Nazareth, so that what was spoken through the prophets might be fulfilled, He shall be called a Nazarene.
